USDA Loan

A government-backed mortgage for eligible rural and suburban buyers.

USDA loans let qualifying buyers purchase a primary home with 0% down in eligible areas, in exchange for a 1% upfront guarantee fee and a small 0.35% annual fee.

The fees take the place of private mortgage insurance and are cheaper than FHA, but income limits and area eligibility apply.
